Production
1. Special climate
The production of a good quality wine begins in the
vineyards, resulting from the extreme care of the
grapes, an abundance of sun, gentle Mediterranean
breezes and the special microclimate unique to Majorca.
A combination of these elements allow us to produce
wine recognised for its superior quality.
Santa Catarina consists of; 50 hectares in Son Aloy
in Sencellas, 20 hectares in Son Rossinyol in Sineu,
and 10 hectares in Son Bosch in Andratx - where all
our wine is produced.
The majority of our wine is produced with the noble
grape varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,
Shiraz (red wine), and Chardonnay (white wine).
These varieties are complemented by the more
traditional varieties of Majorca; Mantonegro (red
wine) and Prensal (white wine), as well as
Tempranillo, popular on the mainland.
