Santa Catarina is situated in "La Serra de Tramuntana" of Majorca, in the region of Andratx. The bodega has been producing wine since 1985 from our own grapes on our finca properties.
We have three fincas that are strategically situated on the island in zones optimal for wine growing.
The first, and by far the biggest finca, is Son Aloy which is located in Sencelles is 50 hectars;
Son Rossinyol is our second finca, located in Sineu, Pla. de Mallorca has 20 hectares; and last but definitely not least is Son Bosch in Andratx, at the heart of "La Serra de Tramuntana" has 10 hectares. All these fincas have a vast variety of wines, from the Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon to the Tempranillo, Shiraz and Pinot Noir, producing only wines of the highest quality.
The vineyard has the capacity to produce around half a million litres of wine a year, with state-of-the-art techniques and installations of manufacture and bottling. In addition, we have at our disposal our very own sandstone cave, built within the mountainside, 1200 m.sq. which we use as storage for our vintage wines.
This magnificent wine cellar was built with a special noble material called 'Marés', resembling sandstone, made here on the island. Itacts as a natural temperature and humidity control, maintaining the wine's maturity.
Approximately 1000 selected american and french oak barrels permit the aging of the wine.
We offer our clients the possibility to sample our fine wines
and, also at their disposal is our restaurant situated in our finca Son Aloy, at the centre of Mallorca, where they can dine on mallorquin specialities, as well as contemporary dishes, while drinking our wine, in a beautiful setting in the countryside.

Situada en la Serra de Tramuntana de Mallorca, en el municipio de Andratx, Bodegas Santa Catarina elabora sus vinos desde 1985 exclusivamente con uvas de su propiedad.
Posee tres fincas situadas estratégicamente y repartidas en toda la isla dentro de las zonas de producción vitícola. La primera y la más grande Son Aloy en Sencelles con 50 has., Son Rossinyol en Sineu en la zona del pla de Mallorca con 20 has. y Son Bosch en Andratx en el mismo corazón de la Serra de Tramuntana con 10 has. Todas ellas plantadas con las variedades Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo Shiraz y Pinot Noir con las que elabora sus vinos de calidad.
La bodega con capacidad para medio millón de litros está equipada con modernas instalaciones de elaboración y embotellado. Además, construida bajo tierra en la misma montaña, dispone de una nave de 1200 m2 para la crianza de sus vinos. Esta magnífica cava se realizó con materiales nobles de la propia isla como el "marés"; piedra que consigue de forma natural el grado de temperatura y humedad óptimos para la conservación de los vinos. Un parque de más de 1000 barricas seleccionadas de los mejores robles americanos y europeos permiten el envejecimiento de los vinos.
Santa Catarina ofrece a sus clientes la posibilidad de visitar y degustar sus vinos a pie de Bodega y además completar la oferta gastronómica en el Celler Son Aloy, restaurante situado en medio de uno de los viñedos más grandes de la isla propiedad de Santa Catarina.

Eingebettet in das Tramuntana Gebirge in der Nähe von Andratx findet man das Weingut Santa Catarina, was seit 1985 edlen Wein aus ausschliesslich eigenem Traubenanbau herstellt.
Santa Catarina besteht aus drei Weinanbaugebieten in Andratx, Sineu und Sencellas, wo jeweils ein altes mallorquinischen Herrenhaus steht. Das Herrenhaus Son Aloy liegt in Sencellas und umfasst 50 ha Weinanbaufläche. Die zweite Finca steht auch 1m Herzen Mallorcas in Sineu und heisst Son Rossinyol wo 30 ha Wein angebaut werden. Das dritte Herrenhaus Son Bosch befindet sich in Andratx in der Nähe der Produktionsstätte, wo 10 ha Wein kultiviert werden.
Auf den über 100 Hektar grossen Weinfeldern werden französische Edelweintrauben angebaut. Bodegas Santa Catarina ist das erste Weingut, was Edelweintrauben wie Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay aus die Sonneninsel brachte. Aus diesen Trauben werden die edlen Tropfen hergestellt, die mittlerweile einen sehr grossen Bekanntheitsgrad durch ihre Qualität errungen haben.
In dem Weinkeller werden ausschliesslich modernste Produktionstechniken angewendet. Das Zusammenspiel sus fortschrittlicher Technik und einer Spitzentraube sind eine Erfolgsgarantie, wie die vielen internationel Preise beweisen, mit denen die Weine ausgezeichnet wurden.
Beeindruckend ist der 1200m² grosse Weinkeller, der aus Sandsteinen in das Bergmassiv gebaut wurde und dadurch die Temperatur natürlich konstant und eine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit erzielt werden kann. In diesem Weinkeller befindet sich der Barrique - Park von 1000 Barriquefässern aus französich und amerikanischer Eiche.
Sonntags finden In dem grossen Sandsteingewölbe von 12:00 bis 14:00 Weinproben statt, wo Sie sich von der Qualität der mallorquinischen Weinkultur in einem wunderschönen Ambiente überzeugen lassen können.
